Directed and filmed by the Vhertov brothers, this film was "considered revolutionary at the time. Their use of animation, fast / slow motion, split screen, superimposition, etc., creates a kaleidoscopic romp of stunning visual effects" (Pack p. 193) The Stenberg Brothers created two of their best posters to advertise this film. This previously unrecorded, anonymous image is of as high a quality as the two that the Stenberg's designed. To capture the essence of the film, which was composed of edited footage of Moscow street scenes, the designer place an eye in the middle of a montage of images. Here buildings, street scenes, people, trains, planes and automobiles are layered on top of one another within orange and yellow rays in an extravagant graphic vision of the film itself. Pack 194-96.
